Pallottine Society of the Catholic Apostolate — Nigeria Province
The Society of the Catholic Apostolate, the Pallottines, belongs to the Society of Apostolic Life. It is an international Catholic religious Society founded in 1835 by Saint Vincent Pallotti in Rome, Italy. The Society was established during a period when the Catholic Church faced serious spiritual challenges, declining faith, and increasing social difficulties. Saint Vincent Pallotti believed that every Christian, regardless of status or profession, was called by God to participate actively in the mission of evangelization and charity.
We, the Society of the Catholic Apostolate, are a community embedded in a large international network called the Union of the Catholic Apostolate (UAC – from the Latin Unio Apostolatus Catholici). Our members are called Pallottines, taken from the name of our founder, Vincent Pallotti. We are united in the fascination with the infinite God. We are guided by our confidence in the communion of all people and the vision of a united humanity, which combines diversity and unity.

The mission of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate is:
To revive faith and re-enkindle charity throughout the world.
To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through apostolic works.
To encourage collaboration among priests, religious, and lay faithful in fulfilling the mission of the Church.
To serve the poor, marginalized, suffering, and spiritually needy through pastoral care, education, missionary activity, and social outreach.
To inspire all Christians to become apostles in their daily lives.
