Our Apostolates

The many ways we bring God's love to the people of Nigeria

Love Made Visible

For the Pallottines, apostolate is not an activity — it is a way of life. Inspired by St. Vincent Pallotti's vision of the universal apostolate, we engage in diverse works of charity, evangelisation, and human development across Nigeria, always seeking to serve the whole person — body and soul.

Parish & Pastoral Ministry

Parish & Pastoral Ministry

Our most visible apostolate is parish ministry. Pallottine priests serve as parish priests and chaplains across Nigeria, celebrating sacraments, forming communities, and building vibrant faith communities. We seek not just to maintain parishes but to transform them into missionary communities.

Key Works
Sunday & Daily Mass celebration
Sacramental preparation (Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage)
Homilies, catechesis & adult faith formation
Youth ministry & young adult groups
Prison chaplaincy & hospital visits
Education

Education

St. Vincent Pallotti valued education as a powerful means of evangelisation and human development. The Pallottines in Nigeria run schools and educational programmes that form the whole person — academically, morally, and spiritually — equipping young Nigerians for life and service.

Key Works
Catholic primary and secondary schools
Faith-based character formation programs
Scholarships for underprivileged students
Adult literacy and continuing education
Vocational training initiatives
Healthcare & Social Outreach

Healthcare & Social Outreach

Following Christ's example of healing and care for the marginalised, Pallottines in Nigeria are active in healthcare and social welfare. We believe that serving the sick and the poor is serving Christ himself, and we pursue this ministry with professional competence and Christian compassion.

Key Works
Medical outreach to underserved communities
Support for orphans, widows, and the elderly
Food and relief distribution
Counselling and mental health support
HIV/AIDS awareness and pastoral care
Missionary Activity

Missionary Activity

True to our missionary charism, Pallottines in Nigeria engage in outreach to areas where the Gospel has not yet taken deep root. We establish mission stations, plant new communities, and evangelise among peoples of diverse backgrounds, bringing the light of Christ to every corner of Nigeria.

Key Works
Mission stations in rural and underserved areas
Evangelisation and outreach programmes
Interfaith dialogue and cooperation
Mission animation in parishes and schools
Support for newly evangelised communities
Media & Communications

Media & Communications

St. Vincent Pallotti was ahead of his time in using available means to spread the Gospel. Today, Pallottines embrace digital and media apostolate to reach people where they are — online, on air, and through print — recognising that the digital space is a new mission field.

Key Works
Social media evangelisation
Online homilies, reflections & catechesis
Parish newsletters and bulletins
Website and digital outreach
Radio and television apostolate
Lay Apostolate & Formation

Lay Apostolate & Formation

The activation of the lay apostolate was at the core of Pallotti's vision. We work to awaken, animate, and form lay people to be apostles in their families, workplaces, and communities — recognising that they are the primary evangelisers of the world.

Key Works
Pallottine Lay Association formation
Leadership training for lay leaders
Couples and family ministry
Retreats and days of recollection
Apostolic movements and pious societies
